DACS has undertaken projects for blue chip organizations in the automotive, petrochemical, nuclear and food processing industries, and works for clients as diverse as airports, postal services and mail order companies.
Out of all the many interesting and impressive installations, which DACS has participated in, one of the best known must be Jaguar Cars X400 project at Knowsley.
DACS played a major role in this project, providing a full turnkey system for all new conveyor systems inc. 11 overhead conveyors, 5 floor conveyors, 2 axle
conveyors, 1 lift shift and 1 body load drop section.

The contract included hardware design engineering, software engineering, control panel manufacture, site installation, commissioning, training of Jaguar staff, and after-sales support. The scope of this demanding project, which was carried out successfully, serves to provide a superb illustration of DACS diverse capabilities and its ability to provide a one-stop control solution.

In April 2001 DACS were successful in winning the Epsilon project.
The main contractor was Siemens and during the project life DACS formed an effective partnership which proved to be highly successful.
The two rail overhead monorail system, comprises several individual systems controlled by Quantum PLC’s using a Profibus comms network
Each system comprises various pre-designed ET200 / PCM sub modules
DP Profibus comms network links the system
MMI and SWAC units are used for fault interrogation and manual control
Management information is taken to the higher levels over the Ethernet
MODAS/NIRT acted as the interface to provide tracking information for car bodies
